Bones: From Scared to Loved

Bones, a grey pit bull, skin and bones in a basement, then healthy and smiling on the grass
Came in
Found in a basement
Outcome
Adopted. Lake house, boat rides, jet ski

Bones was found in a basement. No food. No water. Sitting in his own feces and urine, so thin you could count every rib. When we investigated, it got worse: he had been used as a bait dog.

We took him in and started at the beginning. Food, water, a bed, a name. Vet care for everything the basement had done to him. And time, because a dog who has been used that way needs to learn that hands can be kind.

He learned. Bones now lives with a chef. He has a beach home on the lake, goes out on boat rides, and even rides a jet ski with his dad. From a basement floor to the open water. That is what your donation does.
