About the foundation

We stand guard so they don't have to.

Every dog deserves love, safety, and a family to call their own.

What we do

Stray, abused, and neglected dogs from local Animal Control.

If they are not claimed, we take them to the vet to get their bloodwork, up-to-date shots, spayed or neutered, and any other medical needs they may have. Some dogs need a dental cleaning, sometimes extractions. Some dogs have heart issues and require lifelong medications. And so on; every situation is different. We are here to help them on the path to find their furever home.

The Dogmother's Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax-deductible, and every dollar goes to the dogs.

How a rescue works

From the shelter door to the front door.

  1. STEP 1
    Taken in from Animal Control

Stray, abused, and neglected dogs come to us from local Animal Control.

  2. STEP 2
    Not claimed, now ours

If no owner comes forward, the dog's care becomes our responsibility.

  3. STEP 3
    Full vet workup

Bloodwork, up-to-date shots, and spay or neuter for every dog.

  4. STEP 4
    Whatever else they need

Dental cleanings and extractions. Heart conditions that mean medication for life, and more. Every situation is different.

  5. STEP 5
    Furever home

Healthy, vetted, and ready: we stay with them until they're adopted.
